Cell Phones in Real Life

Young people can be found all over the place, using their phones more for texting and music than anything else.

Even the older generations are getting into the texting fad, but it is clear from this gentleman's face that it complicates his life more than anything else.

This picture sort of kills two birds with one stone, catching this woman on the phone under the metro (which always surprises me because I can't get signal down there to save my life) with the Hipstagram app.

This picture just looks like an ordinary kid texting on his phone, but it wasn't. I wish I'd been better able to capture his hands, because he wasn't texting, he was on video chat talking to his friend in sign language. It was one of the best uses for these cell phones that I've seen: now, instead of being resigned to texting, people who are deaf or mute can use the video chat options to communicate with their friends. As a college student, I cannot begin to tell you how important it is to see faces or hear voices of those you love; these phones allow all of that and more.
